Comments on Netiquette and the Social Contract

For me, this is too large a question.  I'd prefer that the guidelines for conduct be posted in advance, and we can just agree to them, or not.  (And if not, obviously leave the class.)

Since I'm always the one to give offense, and never the one to take offense, I would hope that if someone takes offense at anything I say or do, they would simply tell me, and do it publicly.  That's far preferable to a) saying nothing and burning up; and b) sniping or etc.  And I promise to do the same.

I think the greatest risk, especially in a class like this, is to see one's creative ideas swiped by a classmate.  But I'm presuming we're pretty safe from that, for two reasons:

1.  Everything posted here is publicly available -- to the entire internet;
and
2.  Everything here is licensed through Creative Commons.

So I'm thinking that as long as P2PU backs up on a very frequent (daily or more often) and routine basis, then if a person is the victim of IP theft, then he or she has recourse.

Meanwhile, I think I'd still just figure it's best practice by any user to not go blabbing things that might entice a fellow user.

Does that help?
