How to Communicate with Your Course Group

There are several ways for course organisers to communicate with their groups. Each option has different features, and will suit different requirements.

Broadcast: This is the feature that allows you to send a direct email to all the people in your group. It will not display email addresses, but if people choose to reply to a broadcast, it will come in to your email inbox.

Announcements: Announcements are like making a posting on a bulletin board. They will appear on your course page, and they will also appear on the Dashboard of all the participant's accounts. This is a good space to use for new messages, updates and information that you want people to see.

One-to-One Contact: Any person who has membership on the site can contact any other person by using the contact button on their profile. These messages will go directly to their email.

Discussions:  This is the space where people can hold discussions. It's kind of like a collaborate blog space, where several people can work on the same document, and add comments.
