Syllabus for Local Open Govt. Innovation

The course is for local organizers who would like to learn how to plan a local open gov summit where they live in partnership with local/state/national government.  There are 35+ summits already scheduled in 5 countries, and all local organizers will be helping each other share solutions during the planning process.
  • January 26: Online Broadcast w/ Optional Call-In from 12pm-1pm EST (go here to listen online and for more information)
    • This call is for the local organizing team leaders who have already signed up; there will be one more week to sign up local team leaders.
    • The purpose is to explain the overall plan and to field all questions.
  • February 1: Due date for signing up as local team leaders.
  • February 2: Online Broadcast w/ Optional Call-In from 12pm-1pm EST (go here to listen online and for more information)
    • This call is for all local organizing team leaders.
    • The purpose is to address emerging needs of team leaders.
  • February 8: Due date for selecting all local organizing team members.
  • February 9: Online Broadcast w/ Optional Call-In from 12pm-1pm EST (go here to listen online and for more information)
    • This call is for all local organizing team leaders and local sponsorship coordinators.
    • The purpose is to discuss local sponsorship in-depth.
  • February 16: Online Broadcast w/ Optional Call-In from 12pm-1pm EST (go here to listen online and for more information)
    • Due date for finding a local government agency that is committed to hosting the event in their building.
    • This call is for all local organizing team leaders and local logistics coordinators.
    • The purpose is to discuss event logistics in-depth.
  • February 23: Online Broadcast w/ Optional Call-In from 12pm-1pm EST (go here to listen online and for more information)
    • This call is for all local organizing team leaders and local technology coordinators.
    • The purpose is to discuss technology options in-depth. 
  • March 9: Online Broadcast w/ Optional Call-In from 12pm-1pm EST (go here to listen online and for more information)
    • This call is for all local organizing team leaders and local summit facilitators.
    • The purpose is to discuss event facilitation in-depth. 
  • April 1: Due date for local team leaders to send out invitations and begin receiving RSVPs.
  • May 14-22, 2011 All local summits occur during this time period.

Oh no! I see all classes are schedule for Wednesdays at noon. I have another class at this exact same time! Any chance of moving ahead or back one hour?

The interesting part of the course is how local teams will begin collaborating between the broadcasts using the Google Groups which are listed at that link above. Please feel free to reach out to me if there is any more information I can provide.
