Just completed Part Two: The Digital Underground section of The Hacker Crackdown. The accounting of the raid on Steve Jackson Games is fascinating and scary at the same time. The impact on employees who had to be let go because of the company's loss of income due to the seizure of the GURPS Cyberpunk manuscript is chilling. I'm eager to move on!

Who's still out there?

My bad, I just discovered the new Forum format...I didn't realize we'd left the cumbersome Discussion boards. This seems easier. I hope we all get a bit more active here as we wind down to the last set of course material. I've already read "Little Brother" and plan to watch "Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence" tomorrow.

Between "Androids" and "Blade Runner" I squeezed in "Diamond Age" by Neal Stephenson. So far, I've like everything of his I've read.

I've been coming across quite a bit of stuff while looking for material & found some old bookmarks as well, so here's a video dump thread for some of it.

First up is the 1990 documentary 'Cyberpunk', which heavily features footage from an interview with William Gibson who informs us among other things of the fact that his computer does not look like a stealth bomber with the serial numbers filed off, and that he thought computers ran on cristals, classic stuff.
