I taught secondary school English (grades 7-12; ages 13-18) here in the United States for 25 years.

After that milestone (i.e. eligible for pension!) year, I began working at a university http://www.njit.edu/ as the Manager of Instructional Technology which included the development of online courses.

Besides teaching at NJIT and PCCC, I am currently directing a five-year federal grant at PCCC (a community college - two-year institution) that focuses on writing. http://pccc.libguides.com/writing

I am an advocate for open educational resourses - particularly the use of open textbooks in higher education.
