Hi. My name is Karen, and I love getting involved in a exciting, creative projects! I think that having a passion for what you do is one of the most important things in life.

My professional pursuits involve K-12 education, ed tech, and open education. I am an advocate for OER and frequently present on this topic at conferences and other venues. I am the co-founder of the Kids Open Dictionary project. I have also been involved in running several ed tech businesses.

My personal pursuits include writing, cooking, organic farming, and carpentry. With my partner, I have built my own house and live off the grid in a very remote part of the U.S.
