I am currently the associate director of the Community College Open Textbooks Collaborative promoting adoption and production of high quality and accessible open textbooks for community college students.    I also teach Computer Technology courses as an adjunct having been a software engineer and manager in my earlier career.  I hang out in Silicon Valley where I get exposed to lots of the latest high tech chatter but I am trying to stay focused on the longer lasting values in life such as fellowship and community.    Some days I am better at it than others :-)!   My interests include traveling to other countries and observing their cultures -- I hope to do more of that as time allows ...
