Promoting your course!

Go back to: General discussion

Hey everyone,

Most of your courses are open for sign-up, and we hope you're getting some interest. P2PU is going to send out our general announcements in the coming week (blog, twitter, anouncement lists) but also highly recommend that organizers spread the word to. Think about your desired audience and how you would seek them out.

Also, it's important to direct your applicants to the site you will be using. Give clear information about P2PU, how study groups work and how to sign-up. If they're using the new platform, please let them know that it's still in its early stages of development and that the whole group will act as testers.

The handbook has all the advice you need about using the curent site (this one) and all its administrative functions: http://wiki.p2pu.org/w/page/30057620/course-page-administration.

Happy to field any questions you may have!

ALISON

Is there a designated window when people should be starting their courses? I was under the impression that courses were supposed to be running by now. Perhaps I'm too "synchronous" in my thinking? ;-) I'd be delighted if there's more time for sign-ups and some additional marketing support coming, as you said, in addition to my own efforts.

Happy to spread the word. There's plenty of time to keep promoting. Here's some quick advice:

Tweeting: Put a link to your course sign up and use #p2pu so that we can RT and help get the word out, too.

Blogging: Describe your study group, it's running dates and link to information about P2PU: http://new.p2pu.org/en/groups/p2pu-help-desk/content/about-p2pu/
