We will meet every week. To discuss the reading material. In week 4 there will be an extra meeting to discuss the ideas for your research projects.
There will be 4 experiments and you are asked to answer some questions about these experiments. Next to this, we will do a research project. The research project is explained in the objectives of the course.
In accordance with the learning goals if a specific week, we will read material that should harbour the answers to those learning goals. The learning goals are established in every week’s tutorial by the people present in that tutorial. The topics for those weeks are presented by the facilitator, and the group then brainstorms on what this topic entails. After this brainstorm we see which things are still unclear, we take the week to do the experiment and read up on the science behind the experiment.
You will get the feedback when you talk about your experiments and the reading. Did it work out? Did you understand the literature? If so you are asked to explain it to your peers. If not, you can ask your peers in the tutorial.
The schedule depends on the geographical distribution of participants. It is possible different groups will be formed according to people’s availability. I will create a ‘when is good’ after registration closes.
