This week, we look in depth at a few major phenomena that are important in BE. The resource links take you to individual wikipedia entries to get you started, as well as an additional article that covers all of them. Spend as much--or as little--time as you need to with these topics to gain a solid foundation. Next week we will build out further from here.

If you are a little behind, this is a great week to catch up. This is also a great time to revisit and review earlier topics. And, of course, feel free to work ahead if you are ready for that. There is a lot to cover next week and then we will be working nearly exclusively on real-life projects for the last couple of weeks.
