One of the main expectations for this course is that participants will keep a journal throughout the 8-week period. This journal can be a blog, or it can be a private journal - the purpose is to encourage you to begin and maintain a reflective practice, and it is up to you whether or not you would like to make your writing public.
Participants are expected to respond to one assigned prompt each week throughout the course. You are also encouraged to use your journal to record your thoughts, reflections, and ideas in relation to the material. Hopefully, the journal will help you to synthesize the information you learn, record your personal responses, and note your progress as we move through the course.
In the next few days, I will publish an initial self-assessment, which all participants must respond to individually. At the end of the course, participants will respond to a similar self-assessment. These exercises should help students to process what they have learned throughout the course, and to examine the progress they have made in developing skills for conflict resolution.
I will use a blog for my journal and it can be found @ http://forabettermundo.blog.com/
Joshua, I would love to check out your blog but I can't seem to get there through the link... could you re-post it, please? Thanks!

Were you able to view the blog?
Joshua,
I was able to access the blog - thanks! I really enjoyed your post in response to William Ury's TED talk. I like how you went a step further to think about the father's reasons for leaving his sons to deal with the division of the camels. It sounds like you will have quite a bit of success in conflict resolution, because you are capable of looking at the reasons behind the actions people take. Keep up the great work!
I have a private journal that I keep amd if it is okay I will use that.
My Conflict Resolution blog (more like my personal notes from the articles & some comments/reflections)

I will use a private journal until I catch up and can figure out how to blog
Brandie, a private journal is absolutely fine. Students aren't expected to share (unless you want to!), I just want to encourage everyone to spend some time thinking about what we're learning. "Reflective practice," as we call it, is a great way to synthesize information and will help you be a better learner and a stronger conflict resolver!
Thank you! It is only temporary until I figure this out and get caught up. I do want to share and be a part of it all.
