Kathryn Bunn is an urban researcher with over 10 years experience in residential, commercial, large civic infrastructure projects and master planning. Most recently, Kathryn was the Project Architect for the AusAid funded Law and Justice Sector projects in Papua New Guinea. In her previous role as CEO of Emergency Architects Australia, an NGO working in disaster reconstruction in the Asia Pacific region, Kathryn was involved with post tsunami re-construction projects in, Aceh, Indonesia and the Solomon Islands with the Australian Red Cross and EU Stabex, and with the World Bank on project evaluation teams after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake in China.
In 2007, Kathryn completed a Research Scholarship with the Institute of Development Planning at the Technical University Berlin, focusing on human settlement planning and urban transformations in transitioning economies and mega-cities, "Brazil, Russia, India and China" (known as the BRIC countries). Kathryn holds a Masters Degree in Architecture, and currently completing a Masters Urban Governance and Management.
