Joe is a graduate of Duquesne University where he studied secondary education, English, and theater. He is currently a substitute teacher and assistant librarian in a Pittsburgh-area high school, an IATSE#3 stagehand, and the technical director for Gemini Children's Theater. Joe has combined his varied interests for seveal projects. "We Feel Fine," is a one-act play produced by the Red Masquers theater troupe that examined cyberspace as performance space using live actors and Twistori. "Educational Space" is a study of schools and classrooms as performance spaces which aims to define the optimal setups for the teaching-learning environment. His current curiousity is the usage and study of graphic novels in literature and the classroom.
