 I'm one of the zillions of freelance editors living in Brooklyn, NY. But at  57, I'm a dinosaur. I've worked a variety of print publications including daily newspapers, alternative weeklies, glossy corporate mags and non-profit newsletters, using the web for research and entertainment.  I'll always love ink on paper, but for communicating anything to anyone, the web is the world. Especially interested in citizen journalism (trust system, rights), risk communication, citizen science, environmental justice (mapping, reporting). I'm good at tailoring information to specific audiences, helping non-writers say what they want to say, finding stories that illuminate complex ideas or issues, mining seemingly unrelated and unimportant sources for interesting and significant ideas and information. This is going to be fun.
