Here is a good tool to set up localhost on your pc (make your computer as a server) XAMPP .

If you're using a Mac: http://www.mamp.info/en/index.html
I have used XAMPP in the past for installing there MediaWiki and it works fine. Any of you need this type of tools for the course (not having the possibility of using an external web server)?
Using the localhost is faster and easy to edit, upload, download. So for first tests(multiple installation) will be useful, i believe so
