[OFF] A bit on how we'll work

Go back to: General discussion

Hello everyone!
Euge and I are working hard to finish the content for this Wednesday's class (we're in South America so it's still Tuesday here).
I just wanted to give some hints, tips, recommendations and goodies on how to have a good experience in the course. So, here it goes:

1) Be gentle. P2PU is all about discussing and diverging - but be always polite to other peers.
2) Make us hear your voice. You're free to give suggestions to improvements.
3) Participate every week, actively. This is a requirement to grant you certification (badges).
4) P2PU is informal - and serious. Activities will be proposed help on your growth of the subject; do them whenever you want, but be commited to it.
5) Have fun! You've got a change to meet lots of people from all over the world that the same challenges as you do.

Thanks and let's make this BIG!

3) Participe toda semana, ativamente.

Looking forward to the class. Is there any set meeting time? Set tasks to begin this week?

Hello there,
Each week will have a corresponding lesson/forum post. They'll be identified by the [WX] mark, being X the week number.

There will always be activities to be done, that must be posted in the corresponding class topic.

For those who are new to P2PU, such as myself, we don't actually ever “meet” around a time on P2PU or any other platform – this would be difficult because of time-zone differences.

João or Euge will post an assignment(s) every Wednesday of the week. We have 1 week to do the assignment and post it up.

For example, week one's assignment [WI] Introduction to Design (already posted) is due one week from today Jan. 2. We have one week to read the course material or lesson, and submit our responses. Responses should be submitted via the comments section in the corresponding thread or class topic [?]. I'm assuming either João or Euge will read our responses and give us credit, and that there could be more than one assignment per week.

Let me know if I'm missing anything.

Thanks for the email clarifications João.

Yeah, Thao got it right.

That's the basic mechanics + a lot of secret awesomeness and goodies.

I would also add that besides your answers to the activities, you can post any comment regarding the subject or about other comments too ;)

Ditto!

You guys can share chocolate with your classmates as well, that would be very nice, haha. Maybe we could plan to design digital chocolate - it could be one of the activities. Like, why almost everybody loves chocolate? And how to make it digitally available? :)

I would start with a *research* (made by me with tons of chocolate) about the effects of chocolate in our brain and body. Then think about how to replicate those effects digitally :-)
