HI, I am a middle aged person who 3 years ago could not use email. I worked very hard all my life as a sheet metal worker in Cleveland, Ohio and lost my job. When I left the Navy I went to night school and took a lot of math and english, so I went back to community college and tried to get a degree in e business, which is half business half IT.

I self study, this semester I ran out of financial aid so I am so glad to be in this course. I am not real good with computers on the softwware side, but I do put in a lot of time and effort. I was disappointed after taking so many IT classes that I really can't do a lot, fooled with .NET, HTML PHP and other stuff, but I really want to know some programming, I am teaching myself C/C++ now, using books and the internet, I wasted a lot of time amd frustratoms trying to figure out how to work a compiler but I did not give up and am OK with that now, if your older and new to computers it can be a real challlenge if yu have no-one to talk to that knows more than you do, which is my biggest obstacle, but I see and belive that not quitting and sticking to it works- like everything else, once you know it, you look back and wonder what was so hard about that! I hope to be able to start my own business off a computer or work for someone using a computer, I enjoy writing so learning wordpress should fit right in with long held interests, thanks again!
