Hello,

I started teaching in 1970.  I bought my first computer in 1979.  By 1989 I had developed a community-supported online educational BBS that served approximately 5,000 students.  At one point I had 18 telephone lines into my house to support the educational chat rooms we used to discuss homework assignments.  All of this happened before there was a thing called the "web."  When it comes to doing online education...I've been around the block a few times!

I retired from Texas public school teaching in 2001 and I now teach at a private school.

My interests include reading, writing, teaching, and thinking about thinking.
