This course has multiple sections.  Your section is like your family while you are in this course.  Each section is independent, although we are all using the same syllabus. You can see who your facilitator is, and who else is in your section at http://p2pu.org/webcraft/node/13221/document/24157.

Hi -

I see I am in Fergus' Section... thanks. But, I do not know how the different sections are separated, administered, and how we communicate and upload assignments to a specific section instead of the entire course. Please advise.

Thanks -
Scott

Hi Scott,

The facilitator and the other participants in your section are "your" class. All of the sections share the same syllabus, and will probably also mostly share the same assignments and readings.

To use a family analogy, your section is your brothers and sisters, while the rest of your course are your cousins.

No one's going to punish you for talking to others in the course outside your section, but your first point of contact if you have a problem or concern (PHP or otherwise) should be your section's participants and facilitator.

I hope this answers your question.

- Matt

I have not received word one way or the other. The page says that my application is pending, but I've seen posts from people talking about their first meeting. I'm guessing that because I have not heard that I was not accepted?

You've not received a notification either due to a transmission problem (have you checked your spam folder?) or because we don't have a definitive answer yet regarding your status. While most of the seats have been assigned, it's possible that a small number might still be available. When all co-ordinators are satisfied that no additional learners can be placed, all remaining applicants should receive their notice. I think that will happen very soon.
