In week two, you will become familiar with the terms and processes involved in UDRM, review key principles and the fundamentals of local level disaster risk reduction in selected cities. Investigate existing frameworks for accomplishing and mainstreaming Urban Disaster Risk Reduction plan. (UDRR)
Case Study:National Disaster Management Systems in selected countries.
Exercise:Suggest ways that a proposed UDRR policy may impact both positively and negatively on a nominated city.
