In week four, you will assess the basic elements of disaster valuation, Disaster Risk Assessment (DRA) and overview of available tools such as scenario analysis, risk mapping, vulnerability capacity assessments, consequence analysis and training needs assessment. Generate new potential uses of damage, reconstruction needs assessment in policy formulation and devise a plan for the role of new technology.
Case Study:The Philippines disaster assessment and valuation system
Exercise: Develop an outline for a Disaster Risk Assessment (DRA) plan for a selected city given a set of DRR objectives.
