Open Creative Nonfiction

Hi Folks!

Great conversation with Gena, Jason and Jeremy tonight to launch the course & about our social contract.

We talked about ways to engage each other in a fruitful way, including (but not limited to--please add!!!)

• taking criticism well from each other
• asking a lot of questions as a form of critique
• positive feedback
• participating often in the forum--through shared stories, thoughts, questions
• re-reading and thoughtfully responding to comments we might find incendiary
• keeping to the schedule, posting regularly, making the weekly meeting

Moving forward:

• Our next assignment is due Tuesday September 21st at 12 midnight EST
• Next assignment details are here
• If you weren't on the Tokbox meeting, email vanessa.gennarelli@gmail.com with your email address so she can share the googledoc folder
• We will meet on Tokbox at 8pm EST on Thursdays (Vanessa will email you all the link 10 mins before the meeting start)
• VMG suggested a final product as a wordpress blog (since wordpress has an e-pub version, folks could access our pieces together through ibooks) though we can discuss what out final product should be throughout the semester.

I was thinking we could share photos of our places before we meet next!  I will upload mine tomorrow morning.
