Week 3: Track 2 Assignment? and Track 2 concerns....

Go back to: General discussion

Is anyone else wondering where the assignment is for Week 3, Track 2?  I hate to complain for something that the organizers are volunteering to do but I feel like there is very little effort being given to the Track 2 compared to the Track 1.   Maybe it's because there is so few of us doing Track 2?  Just seems there could be some better and more challenging assignments than explaining JavaScript to our Grandma and answering the questions in the book that have the answers.    Thoughts anyone?

Hi Eric, I share some of your concerns.

I was assuming the assignment was coming out tomorrow at the same time as the Track 1 stuff. It might be nice to have that confirmed.

I found the book content challenging enough and it took me a lot longer than I thought to get through it all.

Did anyone else find that the links on the assignment page didn't work?

Hi Eric/Dave. I am also working on track 2 and share your concerns. The object/array chapter is fundamental and i was hoping for some explanations other than 'read the book'. If you come across any helpful sites/explanations, I would really appreciate them. I'm considering switching over to track one. Especially if we get another 'grandma' exercise.

Hi Vic, I had a look around at some different sites when thinking up ideas for describing objects and arrays. I didn't find anything of particular interest. If I do I'll be sure to let you know. If you'd like to read my blog you can find it here: http://bodapeep.wordpress.com/. I'd be interested to read yours too if you want to drop the link in?
