How do we know if We are accepted into the Course

You are in the list of course members (on the left side bar of the course home) and I think only course members can start forum threads.
As for what the next step is for this week to get started, I think we're all waiting on that info. You probably should have gotten an email titled "course modus operandi" that detailed how we'll do things in coming weeks. But, it didn't mention the specifics of when we'll get together for the first time (probably tomorrow on the IRC channel) or what we'll do the first week.
