- A short self-introduction
- Project Site (if exists)
My name is Nicole Willson. I live just outside Princeton, NJ. I work as a Community Specialist for a travel website. In my spare time, I edit wikis and have been a volunteer editor and administrator for wikiHow for the past 5 years.
Back in 2009, my brother gave me a web domain for my birthday - wikiniki.com where we set up a word press installation on HostMonster. I haven't updated it in a long time. I'd like to blog about wikis and other aspects of online community culture, but I've been waiting until I can get my theme right. I want my blog to have it's own feel and not like I just copied off of one of the many Word Press blogs out there.
I should also mention that I help manage a Word Press blog for work, so I know about how to add posts, pictures, edit links etc., get arond the dashboard a bit, but I don't know much beyond that.
My name is Lisanne Wilcox. I work at an IT consultant and Project Lead for a beauty manufacturer and I am a full-time student finishing my MBA.
I have a blog site I started in wordpress but did not get very far. I have over 2000 followers on my Facebook blog page and would like to merge them with a real blog.
My current site is www.esty2esty.com.
I am looking forward to learning how to really use the wordpress features.
My name is Chris Sabine. I am an IT consultant who works almost exclusively with law firms. I specialize in large law firm practice management software. I have been on my own for a couple of years, but don't have a web presence beyond an email address whose domain is hosted by "godaddy". Because it is such specialized work, (even) the global community is relatively small so I have (to date) survived through word of mouth.
I want to maintain a blog that would act as a reference tool for clients & prospects. So that is where I am at... I'm looking forward to getting started!
My name is Victor Ramirez. I live in New York City and am an actor/DJ by night and venue manager by day. I do freelance web stuff for $ or for friends.
My project is www.aroundgrandmastable.com
I jumped the gun installed it, customized the theme Sight 1.01, installed w3cache, google analytics, comment redirect, feedburner, ad squares, contact form 7, all in one SEO, google xml sitemaps, & html sitemap.

My name is Eugene Shugaev.I live in NJ.I've always being interested in being a webmaster and create my own blog and web site where I can share my ideas and knowledge with others.I have a little experience in HTML,CSS,Java and WordPress but would like to get more information and to become more familiar with this powerful platform.
My name is Susanne Flynn. I live in Lancaster MA. I am a management consultant with a specialty in instructional design and performance management. I created a website via GoDaddy (sdcsite.com) but I never finished it. Still a work in progress. I have another website that I have not kept uptodate (wine-dogs.com) that is more of a hobby, but I would also like to resurrect. I had a blog that I stopped. I want to be able to update content often but not hassle with programming so I think this course will be great for me. Plus I think P2PU is a great idea and maybe I'll teach a course for it someday.
Hi everyone. My name is Ana Cruz. I'm in marketing and currently job searching in CA, MA, and NY. In my (plentiful) spare time, I maintain a blog at http://www.hungrycook.com. I've had the site for several years and am trying to personalize some of the features and learn how to do more with WordPress.
Greetings! I'm julie - I live in Kirkland, WA (Eastside of Seattle), near Microsoft and Google (etc.). My degrees are in History and Theology (minors in Poli-Sci, etc.) and I'm currently working on an MA in Learning Technologies through Pepperdine Univ., Malibu.
I've been working as an adjunct prof at various colleges, I've always integrated technology into my teaching methods and recently, I decided to delve a bit deeper into the tech world (not simply blogs, wikis & tech tools).
I'm very excited to be working with two programs at Northwest Univ. in Kirkland, WA - I'm integrating the two programs via ICT/tech tools (part of my Action Research for Pepperdine). I hope to become a "pro" with WordPress as I'd like to use it for a few different projects currently brewing.
This class at P2PU is a huge opportunity for me & I thank you for allowing me to be involved!

Hi everyone!
My name is Wei-Ching Shyu. I am originally from Taiwan and now live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I studied art and have been playing with web design for a long time. I set up my portfolio site last year and then think it would be great to incorporate WordPress as part of my site. My WordPress blog is now at http://inkyorange.com/blog/.
Hi everyone. I'm Carmella and I live in Maryland near the top of the Chesapeake Bay. I'm a tutor in the learning center of my local community college. In my free time I have been helping a young Friends school with their new Wordpress website. Although I didn't do the initial set-up, I've developed much of the content, selected and photoshopped photos as needed, loaded all the pages, and have added plug-ins. (to create an art gallery and for SEO) . You can see it at www.harfordfriends.org
I'm very excited about this course because I really want to know how to do the entire process. I'd like to be able to add a section that parents can log into to view private information and I'd also like to add a search box. We've only had the site up for 2 months and new updates are already available. I'd like to learn how to make the updates without adversely affecting the site.
I'm making my website for this course mainly as an academic exercise so I can learn everything and apply it to finish our school's website.
I've found learning this stuff to be very intellectually stimulating and artistically fun! I'm glad to be a part of this group.
Hi!
My name is Lauren and I am from Boston, MA but am looking to move to Colorado in the next 6-8 months. By day I am a marketing coordinator and event planner, but as a pet project I am starting an e-commerce business selling vintage, consignment and indie clothing for women called "Life is but a Dream."
For my day job I do a lot of the writing, SEO and functionality testing for websites, but only have a very basic knowledge of coding. I want use this course to set up a fashion and lifestyle blog in order to promote my business. I also want to figure out how to upload files to FTP and about directories...it has been very frustrating trying to figure it out on my own!
I'm excited to be a part of this exciting opportunity and look forward to learning about Wordpress!
I'm playing catch up here, but my name is Jessica. I am a social media manager at a small PR firm, and I also own a consulting business that helps non-profits utilize social media and online marketing tools.
