This week we will discuss of how content is disseminated, distributed and promoted through traditional distribution, social media, word of mouth and other methods. Censorship and the difficulties of reaching a global audience and the challenges of multi-lingual publish will be discussed.
Projects will discuss their promotions strategy and present any interesting public interactions with their projects. Participants should provide support to other projects and possibly cross-promote across projects.
Real-time media such as Twitter will be used during the class to experiment with increasing the reach of the projects and the class itself.
By the end of this week you should:
Participants should consider their impact, purpose on a global and social scale and be prepared to discuss during Class 6.
Participants should use the forum to share links to sites and projects that they believe are examples of social entrepreneurship, global impact and journalism that has caused significant change in the world.
