OK! You've made it this far. We've had some bumpy turns at the end of the pilot course, so Week 6 is actually way out in Week 8. Were you able to hang on?
Task 1: Help us improve by responding to the survey and fixing materials
Heather would like to make an apology for the final weeks that got messed up schedule-wise. She thinks 3-4 week courses would suit better. What do you think? Please tell us what we can do better.
Please fill out this survey: http://gs-survey.com/s.asp?s=13869
We'd like to improve the materials with your help. Keep in mind, if you find something specific in the materials that is wrong, broken or could be improved... this is a wiki. When you're logged in, you can "edit" these pages.
Task 2: Respond to a forum or community post
We'd like to see each participant find their place in the community. One of your final tasks is to respond to a post on the forums at Drupal.org or within your chosen group at Groups.Drupal.org Not sure which groups to join? The best way is to connect locally. Here's a blog post about connecting to the community. You'll find a local or topical group at http://groups.drupal.org/
Task 3: Respond on the final forum thread
In the final discussion, share a screenshot pr screencast from your sandbox of something you did.
Tools for screenshots: If you have a Mac, you can use the free Skitch tool. Or you can use Jing on Mac and Windows. Also, with Screenr you can make short screencasts and put them on YouTube, no download needed.
P2PU is working on the next round of courses. They are also working on a "badge" system to help people show off their participation in various courses. Would you like to deliver a course on P2PU or see another one offered on another topic? You can visit http://p2pu.org/ and Suggest a course.
