Adopting Open Textbooks

Let's look at how COT does reviews.

From the COT website, you click the Reviews link on the left menu. From there a sub menu will open with subject area choices.
 

If you do not see your subject on this list, choose an area that is close. You may have to search a few of the listed subjects to find the one you want. For example, both algebra and statistics are under mathematics. Marketing is under business and the science category includes physics, chemistry and other sciences.

An Example Review with Criteria Explained

Once you've chosen a book by clicking on its title, you will see the review summary. Below are two different reviews of the same book.

The first is review by Jonathan Harden, MBA.

The second review is by Mitchell Levy - CEO of Happy About.

Note that each reviewer scored the book differently although both reviews were favorable.
