Searching College Open Textbooks' Website

The College Open Textbook website's textbook search page provides the ability to filter by subject area.

College Open Textbooks Search by Subject

By clicking on one of the subjects, you are able to see all of the texts listed in the catalog for that category.

There are two things to notice about this list: 1) none of the history texts are currently peer reviewed by COT (at the time this image was copied); 2) the copyright status of each text is shown after the title.

Remember, this is the College Open Textbook site (which is a catalog of links to books stored elsewhere). The files containing the actual open textbooks are not stored within COT. Clicking on a title here takes you to the actual repository server which will have a different user interface.

For example, selecting "A Comprehensive Outline of World History" takes you to the Connexions repository server.

Sorry to hear that, which browser are you using? Have you tried reloading the page ... I changed the source code on Monday night to point at the correct location.

I am using Firefox 3.6
