Adopting Open Textbooks

We had a very informative meeting on Thursday morning with Rebecca, David, Cedric, Barbara, Kate, & Yves.   Please catch the archive here.   Also, several questions for follow-up were asked during the meeting:

1.  Can we use RSS for tracking changes to our course rather than notifications.   The P2PU development team thinks this is a great idea but at the moment you can only use RSS to track when new page or discussion forums are started.  It does not track individual replies but they are looking into it and may be able to get something that will by the next round of P2PU courses.

2.  There was an interest expressed in creating discipline specific groups for browsing and reviewing course materials since the relative ease of finding open textbooks and materials does seem to vary with the discipline.   For example, there are lots of elementary math books but few open anatomy and physiology textbooks.    Perhaps we could create separate forum posts regarding this.

We were split right down the middle on Wednesday @8 am and Thursday @9 am so I will offer two community meetings this week so we can all share what we found in the repositories, tips you learned, and frustrations that you may still have with finding the right resources.
