Housekeeping: Managing message notifications from the P2PU course

Go back to: General discussion

Here are some housekeeping messages re: P2PU:

*Message Digests:*
If you would like to reduce the amount of email you receive, please follow
these instructions: If you would like to slow the flow of course-related
messages down, please take a moment to adjust your notifications setting
here: http://p2pu.org/user/me/notifications [3] From that page, you can click
on the "Subscriptions" button, tick all of the appropriate boxes, and choose
a frequency option from the drop-down menu. We suggest "daily," or "twice
daily."

*Unsubscribing
*If you wish to leave a course group, click the *Unsubscribe from this
course* button at the bottom of the Course home page. [1]

*Messaging the Community:*
Although you may receive emails from the P2PU system with forum comments in
them, you should respond to these messages in the actual forum space on the
course page in p2pu.org [2] - that way, you can be 100% sure that your
message will reach the right people.

How do I join a group? I would like to join OER Search Tools with Pat Lockley and you, if possible.

Unfortunately, I relied on my "subscription email" from here to remind me about coursework - so I got an update on 2/10 to pick a time for meeting for the week past. In all the p2pu courses I have done I have always seemed to lose track of the weeks. Why don't the week numbers also carry dates? Time management is so critical in online courses. I have bee teaching online since 2000 and I find that is key to student success.

Okay, back to the course.

Thanks, Ken, that is an excellent suggestion. I will do that right away.
